Hearts and Cards

Hard to believe it Valentine's week already, I'm just going to show cards I made this year and some of my Hearts I have collected through the years . This one I have named the Veiled Lady. I usually don't know where i'm headed when I start a card I just add things as I go along. I loved this old piece lace.

With her veil lifted to show her face. I always add rhinestones to my cards
Its hanging from my chandelier over one of my work tables with lots other fun stuff

Now this is some of my hinged Hearts I have collected. The clear one my 7 year old Grandson gave me for Christmas this past year

This is an old silk Sacred Heart I got at an auction years ago in a box of goodies

Love this Scared Heart of Mary box that opens

Here is a box I fell in love with the color since I have an old pitcher same colors

Oh I forgot this card I made last weekend. I used a red tag card and white paper lace doilie of course a few rhinestones and ribbon, the girls were some die cuts I have had for years.

Love this old pitcher the lid is broken however I love the colors, I sold this once to a dealer and when she closed her shop I bought it back from her double what she gave me for it LOL I really wanted it back.

Hope you all get pretty cards and box of Chocolates, I still am working on a couple cards creations. I'll be checking out your Valentine post also.

I also wanted to say to you who still love old antiques from the 1800's like me need to check out the blog Bama Planter, he post southern antiques from that period and I love them

Pink Luster Tea Cups

WOW look at these sweet beautiful antique pink luster Tea  cups and saucers another sweet blogger sent me !!!!!
I was thrilled to pieces when I seen this big box at my front door, couldn't hardly get it opened fast enough to see what was inside.

I had been looking through a couple of my Tasha Tudor books back in the fall after I had gone to a new friends house for lunch for my birthday and Karen had a gorgeous set of these dishes just like Tasha Tudor did. Now lots of them are staffordshire maybe all because they are English dishes.
Karen even has the teapot and cream and sugar which I have never seen the sugar bowl.

Gorgeous and I'm still so excited I own these since you just don't see them everywhere like other tea cups and saucers ,these below are my favorites ,I had never seen the circle pattern . There is two of each pattern he sent me.

I couldn't wait to show these off so piled them on my silver tray and stared taking pictures

This is the first pattern I had ever seen in pink luster, the house pattern. Love it . Also the saucers are not flat they are like a small fruit bowl, deep. Did you know the story that people in the 1800's really drank out of the bowls also?

Love this pattern also, beautiful 1800 patterns

This is in the bottom of couple of the tea  cups the tea leaf ? maybe charming what ever it is .

OK  us have a couple cups of tea today ,I'm sort of afraid to add hot water into these they are very delicate and beautiful of course and I want to thank Marshel with all my heart for sending me this wonderful gift, You know a person has a good heart when they will send another blogger such a gift.
I can join in Pink Saturday today for sure with my pink staffordshire Pink Lusterware cups.

Now is it named Pink Luster or Pink Lusterware china?

Round Mirror in Square Frame

Well the beautiful Waverly Country Life toile wall paper is up on my walls! LOL I just love it also. My pictures are just random pictures of the room. I still need to move a couple things back in and hang a picture or two, but you will get the just of the room.

Gina did a great job and I appreciate her so much, or otherwise I may not have this pretty room.

This is an after picture of the wall behind my dresser, I took the original mirror off and added this large frame I found in an antique mall in Jefferson City then I hung my round mirror in the center.

I also found a new rug that I liked that I thought fit into the room good. I am moving the cord fyi

This is the before picture of my dresser and original mirror for it, guess it will go in the storage room till yard sale time

Where this ugly cord is I had a huge bakers rack along this wall and really don't want it back in the room? just don't know where else to put it beside the studio. I also had it loaded with books and other treasures I liked to display.

This is my night side table and toile lamp I got years ago, love the look of the wall

Here i'm trying to decide which lamp to use

This is the window above my night side table

Shurlee will be glad when this is all completed

If Walls Could Talk

Do you remember that show that was on about 1800 houses and what they found in the walls when doing a remodeling ? I always enjoyed it.
As I was sanding one wall in my bedroom where an old intercom system was I dropped my sandpaper in the hole, and that is what made me think of that show. LOL

My friend Gina is wallpapering my bedroom for me and we ran out of wallpaper so waiting on the new paper to arrive to finish up. I have always wanted a bedroom in all blue and white toile. I have the bed covering and curtains so now with my walls covered all I have to do is new window blinds and cover a chair in matching toile which I have already.

Also if you have ever looked in Charles Faudree's design books you will see his little spaniel dogs which I have a small 4 1/2 x 7 inch paining of those kind of dogs, I found it in a shop in Portland Oregon once while visiting out there.

Then I have my big picture of my last little pug to hang back up in my bedroom. I bought this at a design store here years ago and have always loved it because it looks exactly like my little pug Sissy who died with cancer.

Random pictures I know of dogs so here is one more of a dog candle holder I have and just stuck this odd color candle it for size and have never changed it I will now

I am going to take a nap now well after I eat some chicken and mashed potatoes I made myself for lunch. I need to stay up and watch Queen Victoria tonight. How refreshing to know some Royals did love each other.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

I think most of us love a cup of hot tea and I just keep buying different boxes of teas to try. Guess that's why I  am buying different tea pots also?
I posted a picture of my red and white transferware newest teapot however not setting with a mismatch tea cup which I found 6 of once at a resale shop here in town.

I have maybe 4 cups and saucers in my Mason set that matches the creamer in the pictures. These little cups are marked England on the bottom I think any china that comes from england is wonderful, like my Burleigh staffordshire set in blue calico

While I was in Jefferson City Monday I stopped at a couple shops and found these gorgeous red and white transferware soup bowls there was 11 all together and priced for all 11 which came out to about $4.50 each so I had to have them. When I first started collecting transferware these were always were always priced $22.50 each up to $50 each! so I was well pleased to find them.

You can tell I haven't changed my table covering since New Years. I will today or maybe tomorrow.

When do we get enough dishes where they don't keep attracting our attention ?

I need to get ready for my job, I finally got my hours changed to 6 hours a day and I can tell I have lot more time to play with dishes LOL

Stay warm it's -8 below here this morning which makes it hard to walk very far without feeling it

My Win

We have all been so busy with our Christmas posts and new Years I waited to show off my Mackenzie Child's win from Pandora;s Box blog.

Needless to say it's one of my loves, Still first is Louis Vuitton bags and luggage, then red transferware dishes. The list goes on and on LOL
This is the lovely box it came presented and wrapped in

It is so sweet and a friend gave me several small candles that will fit in perfeceetly

Needless to say I was happy and thrilled at same time and it sets proudly along side other items from Mackenzie Child's.
If you watch the cable network Evine they had all the items on before Christmas and the lady  who is on the Aurora Farm in New York state said in spring they will have entire new line of Mackenzie Child's items
